Career

I am a soon to be graduate of Austin Peay State University where I am a member of the Pi Kappa Alpha fraternity Eta Tau chapter. I will be receiving a Communications degree, and concentration in Sports Broadcasting. With that being said, my aspirations for my career are to be a sports broadcaster. Sports have consumed my life for roughly the past six years. I am a very competitive person so that's what draws me to sports. How I plan to reach that goal is by promoting myself to get my foot in the door and gaining experience within the organization and working my way up. I've often been asked "what sport would you like to broadcast for?" The answer is any of them. I appreciate all major sports and have respect for the athletes in each one.

My Past

I'm originally from Joelton, TN. My family moved to the city of Coopertown when I was 10 years old. I graduated from Springfield High School in 2012 which is where I developed my love of sports. I played golf all four years at Springfield High and started Varsity my Sophomore through Senior years. I was also a walk on for our Bowling team my Senior year and after some practice was one of our more consistent starters on Varsity my Senior year. High School is where I developed my passion for sports. I am a very competitive person. I developed this competitive drive my Sophomore year on the golf team. Over my Junior and Senior years I started to become more critical of sports and would often times get into deep conversations about the World Series, Stanley Cup, Super Bowl and NBA Finals. I was intrigued by so many of the "clutch" moments players would have. As I was getting ready for college my parents made a point to help me find what major I needed to go into and they were instrumental in helping me feel comfortable with Sports Broadcasting. "It's what you are good at," they told me. So, I stuck with it. I'm both confident and hopeful I will find a job doing what I love.
