SEEKING ADJUNCT PROFESSOR OF COMMUNICATION: to teach our COMM 4720, MultiMedia Design (3), and other classes in our undergraduate Internet technology specialization. Master's degree in communication or a communication-related field (computer science, information technology, electronic media, mass communication, or mass media) with at least 18 semester hours of graduate coursework directly relating to the course content outlined for this teaching position. This adjunct faculty position requires the candidate to be familiar with the Mac OS X operating system and have proficiency in the use of a combination of the following software programs: Adobe Dreamweaver, Fireworks, Flash Pro and Photoshop, the use of QuickTime streaming technology based upon productions created using Adobe Premiere, Soundbooth, After Effects, and Encore. This adjunct faculty member should also be familiar with JavaScripting and Cascading Style Sheets. This position could involve either or both online (using D2L) and on-campus teaching.   WE WANT YOU FOR FALL 2008! Communication Arts majors and minors can enjoy many activities at APSU beginning with the Fall 2008 semester. We offer campus chapters of the National Broadcast Society, International Association of Business Communicators, and the Public Relations Student Society of America. The David Wesner Digital Video/Web Award and Scholarship is available for a $1200.00 cash award for an academic year. The APSU Web Design group allows students to tackle site design for nonprofit and commercial organizations, while Clean Cut Production provides students the opportunity to work on nonprofit and corporate audio and video productions. Sports broadcasting lets our students work all kinds of athletic events which are broadcast on CableChannel 99 and streamed online. The Communication Department is where action and learning happens for students beginning during the Fall Semester 2008!
